Young Boy Satisfied with Golf Swing
Cedar Knoll Golf Course Pro Mike Slayton has a non-technical teaching philosophy but stresses the fundamentals of grip, stance, posture, balance and tempo.  Although understanding that variations in swing techniques can all work, golf ball flight comes down to 5 basic laws. These laws include club head path, angle of attack, centeredness of contact, club face angle and speed. "The golf swing is a series of movements that must be executed in the proper sequence for optimal results."

Unless otherwise noted, HCS students may ride the bus to CKCC for the after-school golf programs. 

General Information
  • Please note that Wed. is an "early dismissal" so after-school program is 2:30-4 pm instead of 3:30-5 pm.
  • For private lessons, contact Mike Slayton at mikeslayton@gmavt.net
  • Private Lessons: $100 per hour, 3-Lesson Series $270, 5-Lesson Series $400.
  • These youth offerings are a GREAT opportunity for young golfers to learn the game and improve on their abilities. Golf is a lifetime sport!
  • Please bring a water bottle.
